A levels. Two-year courses taken in the sixth form, usually in three or four subjects. UK and international universities make offers on predicted and final A level grades.
GCSEs. Taken at the end of Year 11, usually at age 16, across a broad range of subjects.
Students join in Form 3 (age 13), Form 4 (age 14) or the Sixth Form and follow GCSE and A level courses. Teaching groups average around 16 at GCSE and 14 at A level.
Concord College takes both boarding and day students. Boarders live in school houses during term with resident staff, and day students go home at the end of the school day.
Boarders have a single study bedroom in a boarding house with resident boarding parents. Meals, laundry, house activities and regular visits to Shrewsbury are included in the fee.
There are more than 100 clubs and societies, many run by students, alongside outdoor education, sport, music, performing arts and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
2026/27, including VAT:
Boarding: £22,000 a term (£66,000 a year), invoiced twice a year.
Day: £8,100 a term.
Registration fee for boarding applicants £460. Public examination fees, textbooks and stationery are extra.
Concord is academically selective. All applicants sit the college's entrance tests, and Sixth Form applicants are tested in the subjects they plan to take at A level.
