Urban Planning and Real Estate is taught at a number of UK universities, and the entry terms are set department by department rather than nationally. It is a three year undergraduate degree, with the specialism widening as you move through the years.
Teaching in Urban and Regional Planning is accredited by a professional body at most departments, and that accreditation is what shortens your route to chartership.
The lowest English requirement we hold on this course is IELTS 6.5, and departments asking more than that usually expect a stronger academic record too.
If you are comparing this against two or three other courses, send us all of them. We will set the entry terms and the fees side by side.
This is a regulated, professionally chartered sector, and the degree is usually the first of three stages rather than the whole qualification. Almost every employer expects a placement or a year in practice before or during the course.
Chartership with the RICS, RIBA, RTPI or CIOB, depending on the discipline, and each runs a structured period of practice after graduation.
