Urban and Environmental Planning (with Foundation Year) is offered widely in the UK, so the useful comparison is between departments rather than between countries. It is a three year undergraduate degree, with the specialism widening as you move through the years.
Teaching in Urban and Regional Planning covers measurement, cost and contract law alongside the technical modules.
The lowest English requirement we hold on this course is IELTS 6.0, and departments asking more than that usually expect a stronger academic record too. Tuition is £16,440 a year.
If you are comparing this against two or three other courses, send us all of them. We will set the entry terms and the fees side by side.
This is a regulated, professionally chartered sector, and the degree is usually the first of three stages rather than the whole qualification. Almost every employer expects a placement or a year in practice before or during the course.
Chartership with the RICS, RIBA, RTPI or CIOB, depending on the discipline, and each runs a structured period of practice after graduation.
