Overview

Psychology is offered widely in the UK, so the useful comparison is between departments rather than between countries. It is a one year postgraduate programme, so the pace is quick and the dissertation carries real weight.

Teaching in Psychology is regulated, so entry requirements and English levels are set higher than in most subjects and are rarely negotiable.

Applications open around a year ahead of the intake. Getting the documents together early is what keeps the September date realistic.
