Overview

This page covers Nutrition across the departments we work with, including what each asks for and what it charges. It is a three year undergraduate degree, with the specialism widening as you move through the years.

Teaching in Food Sciences combines field work with laboratory analysis, and several departments have their own farms or field stations.

The lowest English requirement we hold on this course is IELTS 6.0, and departments asking more than that usually expect a stronger academic record too.

Applications open around a year ahead of the intake. Getting the documents together early is what keeps the September date realistic.

Careers opportunities

Most of this sector's work sits with land managers, consultancies and regulators rather than with laboratories, and a great deal of it is field based. Employers weigh a placement year or a season of practical work as heavily as the degree classification.
