Medicine BM6 Widening Participation is taught at a number of UK universities, and the entry terms are set department by department rather than nationally. It is a three year undergraduate degree, with the specialism widening as you move through the years.
Teaching in Medicine is regulated, so entry requirements and English levels are set higher than in most subjects and are rarely negotiable.
The lowest English requirement we hold on this course is IELTS 6.5, and departments asking more than that usually expect a stronger academic record too.
If you are comparing this against two or three other courses, send us all of them. We will set the entry terms and the fees side by side.
A primary medical qualification leads to provisional registration with the General Medical Council and to the foundation programme. Entry is the most competitive in higher education and international places are strictly limited.
GMC registration, the two year foundation programme, then core and specialty training in the field you choose.
Not the university you were looking for? Tell us which one and we will come back to you on whether we can take your application there.
We work with one other university in Southampton, so settling on the place still leaves a choice inside it.
Send us your transcript and an adviser will tell you honestly where you stand.
