History and Global Sustainable Development is taught at a number of UK universities, and the entry terms are set department by department rather than nationally. It is a three year undergraduate degree, with the specialism widening as you move through the years.
Teaching in Geography includes quantitative methods at most departments, which surprises applicants who expected essays alone.
Tuition ranges from £27,870 to £35,530 a year depending on the department, which is a real difference over the length of the course.
Applications open around a year ahead of the intake. Getting the documents together early is what keeps the September date realistic.
An unusually versatile degree that combines physical science, social science and technical skills, and GIS is the single most employable thing in it. Graduates go into planning, environment, data and consultancy.
Chartered Geographer status with the RGS, or a GIS specialism, which is what employers name most often.
