Overview
Artificial Intelligence and Robotics is taught at a number of UK universities, and the entry terms are set department by department rather than nationally. It is a three year undergraduate degree, with the specialism widening as you move through the years.
Teaching in Artificial Intelligence lets you specialise partway through, usually between security, data and software engineering. We currently work with 4 universities on this course across 4 cities.
The lowest English requirement we hold on this course is IELTS 6.0, and departments asking more than that usually expect a stronger academic record too. Tuition ranges from £16,800 to £21,875 a year depending on the department, which is a real difference over the length of the course.
If you are comparing this against two or three other courses, send us all of them. We will set the entry terms and the fees side by side.
Entry requirements
Careers opportunities
A crowded applicant market at the entry level and a hot one above it, and the difference is demonstrable engineering. Employers ask you to build and deploy, not to describe architectures, so projects and internships decide outcomes.
Roles graduates go into
- Machine learning engineer
- AI or research engineer
- Data scientist
- MLOps engineer
- Applied scientist
- AI product analyst
Where they work
- Technology and AI companies
- Banks and insurers
- Healthcare and life sciences
- Defence and government research
- Startups and university spinouts
After the course
A doctorate for research posts, or cloud machine learning certification for the engineering route.
