Architectural Design Technology with Sandwich Placement is taught at a number of UK universities, and the entry terms are set department by department rather than nationally. It is a three year undergraduate degree, with the specialism widening as you move through the years.
Teaching in Architecture runs regular critique sessions where you present and defend your work in front of the group.
The lowest English requirement we hold on this course is IELTS 6.0, and departments asking more than that usually expect a stronger academic record too. Tuition ranges from £17,600 to £18,700 a year depending on the department, which is a real difference over the length of the course.
If you are comparing this against two or three other courses, send us all of them. We will set the entry terms and the fees side by side.
Becoming an architect takes seven years in total: the degree, a year in practice, the diploma, another year, and the final examination. The title is protected and the route is long, so it is worth understanding before starting.
ARB registration and RIBA chartership after Parts 1, 2 and 3 and two years of recorded practice.
