Overview

A first year taught at the university's own international study centre, with the same credits as the university's own first year. It leads into the second year of a named degree.

It leads to 1 degree, at University of Huddersfield London.

University of Huddersfield London is the university's own campus in the capital, and the International Year One is taught there rather than in Huddersfield. It is a two-year route: students start in January 2027, move straight into the second year of the degree, and graduate in May 2029 alongside those who began in September 2026. The January 2027 intake is subject to approval.

The year carries additional academic and study support alongside the teaching, so that students build confidence and university-level skills before the second year. Careers and industry support runs through the whole programme on campus, rather than only towards graduation, and applied, real-world learning is built into every module.

Diversity scholarships of GBP 5,000 a year are offered to students from Algeria, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya and Turkey.
