Computer Games Programming (with a foundation year) is taught at a number of UK universities, and the entry terms are set department by department rather than nationally. It is a three year undergraduate degree, with the specialism widening as you move through the years.
Teaching in Computer Games and Animation is coursework heavy, with lab sessions each week and a substantial individual project in the final stage.
The lowest English requirement we hold on this course is IELTS 6.0, and departments asking more than that usually expect a stronger academic record too. Tuition is £17,085 a year.
Send us your transcript and English result and we will list the departments that would consider you, with the entry condition on each.
Employers in this field test what you can build, not what you were taught, and a technical interview is standard. A portfolio of projects, open source contributions or an industrial placement carries more weight than the grade in almost every hiring process.
There is no register. Vendor certifications in cloud, security or data platforms are what most employers pay for in the first year, and they carry real weight in this market.
