Why Academy Royale
Academy Royale International, formerly Oxford Royale Academy, gives students space to explore the subjects and questions that could shape their next stage of education. Its summer programmes combine academic teaching with practical workshops, discussion and projects in distinctive British school and college settings. The experience suits curious learners who want to test a new interest, develop an existing one and exchange ideas with students from different countries.

Campuses
Where students stay
Oxford and Cambridge settings introduce students to collegiate life, with teaching, shared meals and social experiences in historic surroundings. Marlborough College provides a boarding-school setting for selected programmes. Academy Royale independently organises these courses using host facilities; attending a summer programme does not make a student a member of the host university.

A summer school for every age
Younger students can begin with Academic Discovery or creative technology, while teenage options cover areas such as medicine, law, engineering, business and psychology. New Perspectives and Broadening Horizons allow students to explore across disciplines. More focused courses give an existing academic interest room to develop through guided study and practical application.
Daily life
What a typical day looks like
Mornings begin with academic sessions, followed by opportunities to discuss ideas and put them into practice. Afternoon workshops may involve collaborative projects, with shared meals providing time to reconnect with friends. Formal dining and an organised evening programme add a social dimension to the academic experience.
Beyond the campus
Trips and excursions
College tours, museums and local cultural experiences help students understand the place in which they are studying. Selected Oxford and Cambridge stays offer an optional London excursion at an additional cost. Programme-specific itineraries establish which visits are included, so the academic destination and the excursion package should be considered together.

Subjects and activities
The subject comes to life through the work students undertake: a mock trial for aspiring lawyers, clinical skills in medicine or a business proposal in entrepreneurship. Away from study, published social activities include quizzes, bowling and silent discos. The mix balances purposeful learning with time to relax and become part of the campus community.

Pastoral care
A Programme Director and residential counsellors support students throughout their stay, with staff living on site and available around the clock. An arrival induction explains campus routines, boundaries and whom to approach for help. Age-appropriate curfews and sign-in procedures provide structure, while the team can help with homesickness, friendship concerns and everyday questions.
