Education BA is one of the routes we place students on most often, and it is offered widely enough that there is usually a fit whatever your profile looks like. It is a 3 years undergraduate degree, with the specialism widening as you move through the years.

The lowest English requirement we hold on this course is IELTS 6.0, and departments asking more than that usually expect a stronger academic record too. Tuition ranges from £15.500 to £32.000 a year depending on the department, which is a real difference over the length of the course.

An education degree studies the system rather than qualifying you to teach in it, and that distinction decides most of the destinations. It leads well into research, policy, publishing, technology and the education work that happens outside classrooms.
A PGCE or School Direct place if you want qualified teacher status, or a master's and doctorate for the research and policy route.
